From Retas to Ojas

⚡ The Internal Dynamo

According to Ayurveda and Yoga, sexual energy (Retas) is the 'Cream' of the human system. It takes 40 drops of blood and 100 hours of metabolism to create one drop of this essence. When wasted, you feel dull and weak. When preserved and directed upward, it becomes Ojas (spiritual luster) and Tejas (mental brilliance).

💡 The 'Urdhvareta' Process

Ūrdhvareta means 'one whose energy flows upward.'

1. Biological Sublimation: When a person practices Brahmacharya consistently, the physical essence is absorbed back into the system and nourishes the brain (Medha Nadi). This results in an unshakeable memory, a powerful voice, and a radiant face.
2. Intellectual Depth: A person with high Ojas can understand the subtlest points of Śāstra that a worldly person can never grasp. The preserved energy acts as a 'Voltage stabilizer' for the brain's internal processing.

In the Yoga Sūtras (2.38), Patañjali states:

"By the establishment of Brahmacharya, one gains invincible energy (Vīrya-lābhaḥ)."

1. Breath as a Pump: Use specific breathing techniques (Pranayama) to 'pull' the energy upward from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. Simple long, deep breaths focused on the heart center work wonders.
